Rock Miner
A downloadable game for Windows
RockMiner is an idle incremental game that I made in less than a week, with my own custom engine, which I made over 7 weeks as part of Year 2, Block A at BUAS.
Goal
Same as almost every idle game, there is no real end goal. You start with 0 miners, no money, and lots and lots of rocks waiting to be mined. As time goes on and you buy more upgrades, your screen will turn into a chaos in which hundreds of miner spaceships are moving superfast toward rocks, mining them, then coming back to bring you more money so you can mine more rocks.
How To Play
- Press TAB to show (or hide) the in-game UI.
- Buy miners by pressing 1 or R. Miners will head toward rocks, mine them, and when they bring back a piece, your money increases based on the rock's tier.
- Once you have enough money for speed upgrades, press 2 or F to buy it and increase the speed of all the miners.
- You can move around using WASD or Arrows.
- Zoom in/out by scrolling your mouse wheel
Cheats:
- Press C to double the time passing speed (delta time).
- Press Z to halve the time passing speed.
- Press X to reset the time passing speed to the default.

It was a fun game with resource management and incremental. However, the speed control feature (z, x, c) should never have been included. Those ruined the whole point of the game.
